Pete Wernick's Jam Camp: Monday through Thursday, June 20-23 at the Bluegrass Museum preceding ROMP—with bluegrass legends and top talent.
Camp times:
9:00-5:00 Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
9:00-11:00am Thursday
Total tuition is $225. A deposit of $85 is required. Attendance is limited.
Special discounts available for less common instruments (bass, fiddle, sometimes mandolin; need-based; see www.drbanjo.com for more info).
Early bird discounts:
$15 off if full tuition of $225 paid before March 20, 2011.
$10 off if full tuition of $215 paid before April 20, 2011.
All but half of the deposit amount refundable until May 20, 2011.
How you qualify: It's easier than you may think! If you play guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, bass or resonator guitar you can be part of a bluegrass jam.
Only requirements: You must be able to tune your instrument (electronic tuning devices welcome) and change smoothly between G, C, D and A. Fast playing is not expected, nor is the ability to solo required.
